I am an experienced and fully qualified Person-Centred, Psychotherapeutic Counsellor and registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I abide by the BACP's Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions.
Having experienced the benefits of counselling and psychotherapy myself, I have first-hand experience of the personal growth that can occur when working with a non-judgmental, empathic therapist.
I have a background in the Creative Arts with a BA (Hons.) in Mixed-media art and textiles. My creative practice has been part of my therapeutic journey and brings meaning to me. Along with being in nature, I find having an ongoing commitment to regular meditation and mindfulness practice helps to restore and ground me.
Rich experiences throughout my life, such as travelling and living abroad when younger, becoming a mother and working in a variety of environments before studying as a mature student, have helped me to feel comfortable relating to people from all walks of life.
